Icosahedron (Design by Heinz Strobl)

This model is designed by Heinz Strobl and is really very easy to make. You can use any A4 size paper which is available or Origami paper which is square shaped will also suffice.

What you need:
1. 9 to 10 sheets of paper of 2 contrasting colors
2. A pair of scissors.

To get started:
1. Choose one color (from your set of 10) and cut these into 20 strips of equal measure
2. With the other color, cut these into strips of 30 of equal measure
3. Crease the strips (of both colors) into continuous squares of 6 (i.e. 6 squares out of each).

Remember…
1. The strips you use to ‘connect’ the triangles will be the color which ’stands out’.
2. The triangles are just about covered with these strips at the completion of your model.
3. Maintain the formation of ‘5 triangles’ connected throughout.
