Sea Shells (Design by T. Kawasaki)
Toshikazu Kawasaki has designed this seashell and is made out of a single sheet of paper. For this I have used a 6” sheet of Origami paper. You can vary the size of your seashell by using a different paper size.
This design is from the book Origami for the Connoisseur, by Kunihiko Kasahara. This book contains a variety of folding methods and models by a range of popular Origamists. This is however, not a beginner’s book and one need to know the basics of Origami as well as accustomed to folding intermediate origami models.
A part of this model will remind you of Tomoko Fuse’s ‘Espiral’ (Spiral), as the design is almost identical.
Tips for folding this model:
1. The paper you use should be of an appropriate size. Anything too small will make folds difficult and could result in the ‘breakage’ of paper. 6″ or more sized, square sheet of paper.
2. Avoid using flimsy paper, as this will make it impossible to hold the folds in place.

Happy Folding!!
