Umulius Rectangulum (Design by Thoki Yenn)
Even though the name of this model is quite a mouthful, the design itself is a lot simpler. The only complicated part would be the fold similar to an open sink, which you need to undertake to get the angular or the elbow folded for each of the units. The umulius rectangulum is also popularly known as the “Magic Rings” model in origami.
By the way, this model requires 6 units made from 3 A4 sized paper or your standard printing paper. You can also fold this model using dollar bills.
What you need:
3 A4 sized sheets of printing paper or colored paper. I have used construction paper in this model. Cut each of the 3 A4 sized sheets (colored on both sides) into 2 halves length-wise. You will now have 6 ‘halves’ of 3 different colors with you.
How to fold this model:
Sara Adams’ instructional video is a good place to start on the ‘how to’ for the Umulius Rectangulum. The basic concept is to divide yeah of the halves you have with you into 5ths (therefore, you will have 5 portions of each half length-wise). The only complicated fold in this, post this division is the ‘similar to the open sink’ fold.
She has explained the steps clearly and has even marked out the folds with a felt tip marker for better understanding!

heyy..i saw a book in borders and thought that i should tell you…it was about origami jewellery..found it pretty cool..maybe u shud try those ( if you ahvent already) and send us some
