This is a rather cute looking elephant, the design of which, I found on YouTube.com. It is lower intermediate on the scale of complexity and the video is quite easy to follow.

I used an A4 size construction paper, which I bought, from the local store here and I cut it down into a square for use in this model.

What you need:
A square sheet of paper (avoid very thick paper, else your folds will become a problem) measuring 8” or more in size; the larger the size of the origami paper, the better it will be as the final model will be of a much larger scale and you will be able to fold it properly, too.

A felt tip pen (Optional); this is for drawing out the eyes of the elephant.

How to fold this model:
One of the contributors on YouTube has uploaded a video on folding this model, it is very easy to follow and the contributor has explained the steps quite well.

Once you have completed folding the elephant, you can use the felt tip pen you have with you to draw out the elephant’s eyes. Another idea is to fold elephants of different sizes, more appropriately in decreasing sizes, say 3 elephants in decreasing sizes, and put it on display.
