<p>This model is from John Montroll&#8217;s book &#8211; <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0486247929?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=origamiancy-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=0486247929">Animal Origami for the Enthusiast: Step-by-Step Instructions in Over 900 Diagrams/25 Original Models</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=origamiancy-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0486247929" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> &#8211; and is a simple model to fold. </p>
<p>I have used graphite colored construction / craft paper for the folding of this particular folding. It was A4 size paper, which I cut into a square. But somehow, I am not all that happy with the end result. The simple reason being that I found this paper a bit too thick for the crimp folds at the feet when I got around to that stage. I think origami paper or something finer will be better for folding this. </p>
<p>This model took around 20 mins to fold and this time includes referring the diagrams on the book. Since the paper got a bit too thick for intricate folds for the hind feet, I took the liberty of making a slight change to the folds in order to accommodate the paper. </p>
<p>This Seal design is higher in complexity when compared to Hideaki Sakata&#8217;s &#8211; <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0870405802?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=origamiancy-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=0870405802">Origami, By Hideaki Sakata</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=origamiancy-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0870405802" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> &#8211; book. But this model can be followed by beginners, too, provided they are familiar with the various folds. </p>
